Season 7 | Joshua 2 | The Hope of Rahab
If one put together a list of the most influential women of the Hebrew Scriptures, Rahab's name would appear towards the top. She's in the genealogy of Jesus. She had a provocative occupation that catches people's attention. And her story comes at a pivotal time in the history of Israel, as they are in the process of leaving the wilderness and moving into the Promised Land.
But do we really know her story? Do we slow down and really listen to what she has to say? Is it possible that because we 'know' her story, we've actually missed her story? Could Rahab have been an alternative wisdom if those in the story had really listened?

Afterthoughts
Something new this season is our invitation for you to join us on Patreon for our Afterthoughts. Steph, Lisa, and Jason will record a short afterthought at the conclusion of each episode. These will be posted on Patreon. We would love for you to add your afterthought in the comments section. Let's learn and wonder and wrestle together!

This is a 40 Orchards podcast.
At 40 Orchards, our mission is to create circles for all people to wrestle through biblical texts, so that— together— we can expand each other’s experience of what is sacred, whole, and good.
We search through the lens of sacred possibility; assuming there is more to be discovered, questioned, and applied as we listen for how God is still speaking.
You can learn more about 40 Orchards and sign-up for a study by going to 40Orchards.org
